Our group’s work on magnetics are focusing on 1. AC characterization of magnetic nanocrystals. 2. Self-assembly of magnetic nanocrystals for their collective magnetic properties.We control the size, shape, and chemical compositions of nanocrystals to give various ferromagnetic resonance, magnetic anisotropy, and saturation magnetization. Precise control over these properties lead to low loss or high loss magnetic nanocrystals. Binary structure of magnetic nanocrystals can result new magnetic properties through collective dipolar interactions between two different nanocrystals.
