I am currently a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. My research centers on how actors learn from political violence at both the international and sub-national levels. I am prepared to teach broadly in both International Relations and American Politics with particular interest in courses on international security, civil wars, and U.S. foreign policy.
Please feel free to peruse the website and contact me if you have any questions about my research or teaching.
The header image on this website is from a mural depicting the passage of Bourbaki’s French army across the Franco-Swiss border at the end of the Franco-Prussian War. Though some politicians in Bordeaux hoped to continue the war even after this defeat, this mural suggests that the French soldiers stacking their rifles had had enough.
