The Center for Italian Studies collaborated during the academic year 2017-18 with the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America, based at Columbia University, in order to co-produce the events for the 450th anniversaries of Claudio Monteverdi’s birth. Please see here. In 2021-21 we are please to collaborate again for a series of lectures by Prof. Carlo Ginzburg.

The Center also regularly collaborates with the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia, for example for the 11/13/17 book exhibit in Kislak.

Finally, the Center has collaborated on June 29, 2018, in the international conference “Harmony and Contrast: Platonism and Aristotelianism in the Renaissance,” organized by Anna Corrias (University College London) and by Eva Del Soldato (University of Pennsylvania), sponsored by the Department of History at University College London, and co-sponsored by the Center for Italian Studies and the Italian Studies Section of the Department of Romance Languages both at the University of Pennsylvania, and by the British Academy for the Humanities and the Social Sciences, see here.
