- The Center and the Italian Section have been engaging in a fruitful relationship with the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies (see also here) which hosts visiting fellows. During the academic year 2017-18, one of them, Dr. Stefano Dall’Aglio, presented a talk for CIS and SIMS on Thursday November 16 at 5:30, please see details here. Starting from 2018-19, the Center will sponsor annually a visiting scholar for a week-long visit at the SIMS.
- The Center also collaborates with the Workshop/Seminar on the History of Material Texts, organized by members of the English Department and hosted by the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts. In the spring, Prof. Ludovica Braida of the Università di Milano gave a talk within the Kislak seminar in Van Pelt Library, sixth floor (Monday April 9 at 5:15) and a colloquium for the Center for Italian Studies in Williams Hall 549 (Thursday, April 12 at 5:30).
