Scripps Institution of Oceanography:
The Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego, California conducts a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship program annually, aimed at exposing interested students to oceanographic research and providing mentoring and career guidance. Undergraduate interns choose to work directly with a sponsoring researcher and investigate a specific research topic during the program. The application process is highly selective, but if selected, the cost of an intern’s participation is fully covered by the program. Details and application materials are located at: https://scripps.ucsd.edu/undergrad/surf

National Aeronautics and Space Administration:
NASA offers paid undergraduate and graduate level internships in a wide variety of disciplines. Over 200 internships are available. The deadline is March 1st, but offers may begin going out as early as Feb. 2nd. Visit http://intern.nasa.gov to apply for up to 15 opportunities with a single application.
