Andrea Mitchell, CW’67

Andrea Mitchell, CW’67 and her husband, Alan Greenspan, HON’98, have endowed two University Professorships. Andrea Mitchell is the Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for NBC. She studied English at Penn, where she served as Program Director at WXPN. She began her professional broadcast career in Philadelphia at KYW Newsradio, and she has been a correspondent for NBC since 1978. She is Emertia Board Chair of the Penn Arts & Sciences Board of Advisors and is a University Trustee Emerita. She also is a former Chair of the Annenberg School Advisory Committee and is a Member Emerita of the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women. In 2002, she was awarded the University’s highest alumni honor—the Alumni Award of Merit. They are longtime supporters of Penn Arts & Sciences and most recently made a gift to endow the Andrea Mitchell Center for the Study of Democracy.
