Programs & Plugins
Below is a list of the programs and apps I currently have installed on my computer. Most of them are free to use. If you like them, please support the developers. I did not provide direct links to any of the download pages, but you can find them with a simple Google search. If you are interested in using any of these programs, I highly recommend that you properly research them first, read reviews and double check to make sure that none of your existing programs will be negatively affected by the installation.
Chrome – A freeware web browser developed by Google.
Firefox – A free and open-source web browser developed by Mozilla
Adobe Flash – A multimedia software platform used for production of animations, browser games, rich Internet applications, desktop applications, mobile applications and mobile games.
GIMP – (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free and open-source raster graphics editor used for image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, resizing, cropping, photo-montages, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks.
HandBrake – A free and open-source video transcoder to make ripping a film from a DVD to a data storage device easier.
MusicBee – A freeware media player for playback and organization of audio files on Microsoft Windows
Steam – Considered to be the largest digital distribution platform for PC gaming
Reason – A digital audio workstation for creating and editing music and audio. It emulates a rack of hardware synthesizers, samplers, signal processors, sequencers, and mixers, all of which can be freely interconnected in an arbitrary manner.
VLC Media Player – A portable, free and open-source, cross-platform media player and streaming media server written by the VideoLAN project. VLC media player supports many audio and video compression methods and file formats, including DVD-Video, video CD and streaming protocols.
Dropbox – A file hosting service that offers cloud storage, file synchronization, personal cloud, and client software.
Office 365 ProPlus – Contains: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access.
MindMaple Lite – a mind mapping software designed for project management, brainstorming, managing schedules, creating visual presentations, sharing ideas, and other purposes.
Slack – A cloud-based team collaboration tool that offers: persistent chat rooms (channels) organized by topic, private groups and direct messaging. All content is searchable, including files, conversations, and people. Integrates with a large number of third-party services and supports community-built integrations.
Zoom – Provides cloud-based video communications which combines video conferencing, online meetings, and mobile collaboration into one platform.
Atom – A hackable text editor for the 21st Century. Atom is a free and open-source text and source code editor for macOS, Linux, and Windows with support for plug-ins written in Node.js, and embedded Git Control, developed by GitHub.
AutoHotKey – AutoHotkey is a free, open-source custom scripting language for creating keyboard shortcuts or hotkeys, fast macro-creation and software automation that allows users of most levels of computer skill to automate repetitive tasks in any Windows application.
Belarc Advisor – Provides a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, network inventory, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, security benchmarks, and displays the results in your Web browser.
CCLeaner – A utility program used to clean potentially unwanted files (including temporary internet files, where malicious programs and code tend to reside) and invalid Windows Registry entries from a computer.
Chrome Remote Desktop Host – A remote desktop software tool developed by Google that allows a user to remotely control another computer using a Chromoting protocol developed by Google.
Clover – Clover is an extension of the Windows Explorer, to add multi-tab functionality similar to Google Chrome browser.
DupeGuru (& Music Edition) – A tool to find duplicate files on your computer, scanning either filenames or contents.
Greenshot – Greenshot is a light-weight screenshot software tool for Windows that let’s you quickly create screenshots of a selected region, window or fullscreen; you can even capture complete (scrolling) web pages from Internet Explorer.
KeePass Password Safe – A free and open source password manager.
Malwarebytes – An anti-malware software for Microsoft Windows, macOS and Android OS that finds and removes malware.
MyDefrag – A freeware disk defragmenting utility for Windows.
NMap – A security scanner used to discover hosts and services on a computer network, thus creating a “map” of the network.
WinRAR – Create and view archives in RAR or ZIP file formats, unpack numerous archive file formats, and supports creating encrypted, multi-part and self-extracting archives.
Speccy – A freeware utility software for Windows which shows the user what kind of hardware is present in a system and how it is being used: processor brand and model, hard drive size and speed, amount of memory (RAM), information about graphics card and operating system.
VeraCrypt – An open-source utility used for on-the-fly encryption (OTFE). It can create a virtual encrypted disk within a file, encrypt a partition or encrypt the entire storage device with pre-boot authentication.

I did not provide direct links to any of the download pages, but you can find them with a simple Google search. If you are interested in using any of these plugins, I highly recommend that you properly research them first, read reviews and double check to make sure that none of your existing plugins will be negatively affected by the installation. Installing plugins can sometimes interfere with a websites functions. Opening your browser in “Private” or “Incognito” mode disables all plugins.
