Ph.D Student

I am a sixth year graduate student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. My research focus is on transport networks in biological systems, specifically in the context of plant and animal vasculature.  My previous work was a study on how flow reroutes when a network sustains a small amount of damage and how hierarchical features in the network can serve to mediate that damage. Currently I am working on modeling the way capillaries supply tissue with nutrients and on designing networks that are structured to distribute nutrients uniformly.
