Billy Hasley is a rising Sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania in the Vagelos Integrated Program in Energy Research. He is currently majoring in both Chemistry and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Previously, he spent over a year in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University researching the magnetic properties of iron-nickel alloys for use in transformers and magnetic refrigeration potential of FeCuNiCoMn alloys. He is currently researching the self-assembly of biomimetric membrane systems and the recognition patterns involved in glycan-protein interactions.
