Philadelphia Ethics Bowl

 

 

The inaugural Philadelphia Regional competition of the National High School Ethics Bowl took place on February 8, 2020 at the Perry World House on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. A great time was had by all!

Congratulations to this year’s bowl champion: Masterman High School. The runner up was the team from Philadelphia High School for girls.  The winner of the judges choice award was the team from Carver Engineering and Science. And the teams from Academy at Palumbo and Mastery Charter: Shoemaker Campus tied for the Spirit of the Ethics Bowl award. Congratulations to all the teams!

The 2021 Philadelphia High School Ethics Bowl will take place at the University of Pennsylvania in January or February, 2021.

Penn’s Project for Philosophy for the Young is able to provide a number of supports to schools interested in starting an ethics bowl team, or engaging in philosophy in some other way.
