This exhibit represents a collaborative effort that brings together historical photographs from the American Philosophical Society’s Frank Speck collection, contemporary photographs of Cherokee sticks from the Frank Speck collection at the Penn Museum and interviews conducted with Cherokee historians, and former stick ball players, from the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians in North Carolina and the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma.
