Text (2): Indoor air can also be polluted.

Studies have found that more than 300 pollutants can be detected in indoor air and 68% of human diseases are related to indoor air pollution. What is polluting our indoor air?

The human body itself is polluting the air. The air we breathe out not only has carbon dioxide but may also carry bacteria or viruses. In the process of metabolism, the human body produces more than 500 chemicals, 149 of which are excreted through breathing and 171 of which are excreted through sweating. All these are polluting the air.

Air conditioning can bring comfortable temperatures to people, but at the same time, it can do harm to the human body. Air-conditioned rooms are generally closed, ventilation is bad and fresh air is difficult to enter the room. If the air conditioner is not cleaned regularly, a large amount of dust and bacteria will accumulate and can spread diseases in the room.

Entering a newly decorated room, many people will feel discomfort in their eyes, nose and throat. This is related to the materials used in the decoration. Some decoration materials, will release toxic gases, stimulate the eyes and respiratory system, causing tears, cough, headache, and so on. Long-term inhalation of these toxic gases can lead to lung cancer and other diseases.

Therefore, in the indoor environment, we should pay special attention to ventilation. Do not stay too long in a crowded or closed room. Clean the air conditioner at least once a year and do not use it for long periods of time. Make more use of environmentally friendly decorative materials. New housing decorations should be allowed to wait for a period of time before people move in. Planting some flowers and plants indoors can also increase oxygen, kill bacteria and absorb harmful gases.
