The Data Driven Discovery Initiative (DDDI), in collaboration with Penn Arts & Sciences College Alumni Mentoring Series (CAMS), is excited to host a career mentorship panel event highlighting careers in data science. Students will have an opportunity to hear from and connect with a diverse group of professionals working in a variety of data-driven careers. An opportunity for Q&A will follow the moderated discussion. Dinner will be provided.

Randall Winn
Co-Founder & Managing Partner, 22C Capital
22C, is a minority “special forces” partner delivering equity capital, strategic guidance, tactical mentorship, and operational resources to B2B data analytics and information & business services companies. Prior to 22C, Mr. Winn was Founder and Managing Principal of FiveW Capital, which had the same strategy as 22C but operated on a deal-by-deal basis. Prior to FiveW, Mr. Winn co-founded Capital IQ and served as its CEO / Executive Managing Director. He helped grow the company to more than $450M of revenue and 5,500+ employees, including executing seven successful acquisitions / integrations. Prior to Capital IQ, he was a Principal at SKM, a firm that focused on recapitalizations of family-run businesses. Prior to SKM, he served at Goldman Sachs in the Principal Investment Area and in Corporate Finance. Currently, he serves in Board roles at ZoomInfo (NASDAQ:ZI), Aurora Energy Research, LMI, DataSite, RevSpring and Canoe Intelligence. Previously, he served as Chairman of Dealogic and Director of Definitive Healthcare (NASDAQ:DH), Viteos, and Meritsoft. Mr. Winn is a major supporter and board member of Sapien Labs, a non-profit that has assembled the largest global dataset on mental wellbeing focused on exposing and addressing the causes of the global mental health crisis. Mr. Winn holds an AB from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.

Henry Schmandt

Henry Schmandt leads nodal pricing and grid research for North American markets at Aurora Energy Research. Aurora Energy Research is a leading global provider of independent, data-driven analysis to underpin the global energy transformation, with 1000+ experts in 16 offices around the world. Aurora helps customers to inform strategic decision-making, better allocate capital, design policy, invest in new power generation, assess risk, and navigate the energy transition more broadly. In his role Henry focuses on analysis of generation interconnections, planned transmission projects, and their combined effects on congestion trends and locational marginal pricing (LMP) across ISOs / RTOs. His analysis has helped underwrite projects for over a dozen project finance and tax equity banks and has supported over $3bn in financings. Henry earned a B.A. in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Andrew Bocskocsky

Andrew Bocskocsky is the Co-Founder and CEO of Grata, the leading private market dealmaking platform. With over 700 customers across private equity, investment banking, management consulting, and corporate development, Grata is the go-to solution for sourcing, researching, and marketing M&A deals. Before Grata, Andrew founded Gramercy 360, a technology consulting, strategy and development firm specializing in architecting cloud-based platforms, machine learning and analytical systems. He has also held engineering and analyst roles at Palantir and Endurance. Andrew holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Harvard University.
John Wilson
President, LMI Solutions
Josh Wilson is the president of markets, growth, and technology at LMI. The company brings deep expertise in digital and analytic solutions, logistics, and management advisory services to all types of government stakeholders, including federal civilian agencies and military commands. Josh has direct oversight over LMI’s entire customer portfolio and leads LMI’s business growth function. He also oversees LMI’s research and development programs. Josh previously served as LMI’s executive vice president of service lines and technology. Prior to joining LMI, Josh was a U.S. Army officer, serving two overseas tours focused on infrastructure reconstruction efforts in Iraq. He later joined Deloitte’s public-sector practice, where he specialized in analytics-driven business model transformation and strategic planning engagements. Josh holds a bachelor’s in systems engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a master’s in engineering management from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
