Predoctoral
The DevLab@Penn pre-doctoral program provides junior international development researchers with valuable hands-on training and research experience before applying to PhD programs. The pre-doctoral program aims to support individuals with substantial interest in international development and potential for success in pursuing a PhD in Political Science, Economics, Public Policy or other quantitative social sciences, who otherwise may have limited access to mentorship and training from leading international development scholars. We particularly encourage applications from students from low- and middle-income countries, as well as from others whose backgrounds and experiences would contribute to the diversity of the program.
Predocs are active participants in our research projects and work on a wide range of critical research tasks.
