James S. Riepe, W’65, WG’67, and Gail Petty Riepe, CW’68, established the Amy Gutmann University Professorship in 2022 in honor of Amy Gutmann, Penn’s longest-serving President. Jim Riepe is a University Trustee Emeritus and served as Chair of Penn’s Board of Trustees from 1999 to 2009 and Chair of the Penn Medicine Board from 2009 to 2011. He received an honorary degree from Penn in 2010 and the Alumni Award of Merit in 2014. Gail Riepe is a long-time member of the Board of Advisors of Penn’s School of Veterinary Medicine.
