I am interested in the physics that shape planetary surfaces on different time scales, such as the dynamics of ice sheets, tides, convection in the mantle, and plate tectonics. I use scientific computing and machine learning methods to understand how the viscoelastic properties of geological materials drive these large-scale processes. At the University of Pennsylvania, working with Dr. Goldsby, Dr. Ulloa and Dr. Jerolmack, I use Bayesian inference and data assimilation methods to improve geodynamic models with laboratory data
