Ben received his B.S. in Mathematics and Chemistry from the University of Virginia, where he worked with Professor Rebecca Pompano to develop procedures for immunostaining live lymph node tissue. He then received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Yale University, where he studied the kinetics and thermodynamics of hydrogen atom transfer reactions under Professor Jim Mayer. In the Goldberg Lab, Ben is focusing on metal-ligand cooperative C–H activation strategies. Outside of lab, Ben enjoys playing games, eating food, and playing pretty much any sport.
