Philadelphia provides a vibrant backdrop for the symposium, with many cultural and culinary opportunities to explore. It is home to several major art institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy) and the Barnes Collection (2025 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy). The Free Library of Philadelphia (1901 Vine St), aside from being the oldest public library in this country, has an impressive collection of manuscripts as well as exhibitions. For the convenience of those interested in attending the conference, here are a few touchstone locations near Penn campus.

A few shops down is Federal Donuts (3428 Sansom St), a Philly staple famous for its deluxe and piping hot cake donuts.

There are many quick options running up Walnut Street as well, including a Chipotle, Honey Grow and Sweetgreen.
