Dr. Eisuke Yamamoto
Visiting Researcher
Dr. Eisuke Yamamoto grew up in Kanagawa, Japan and received his B.E. and M.S. at Waseda University. He earned his Ph.D in engineering from Waseda University at 2018. Additionally, he was also JSPS research fellow (DC1) from 2015 to 2018. His graduate research focused on the design of the mesoporous nanoparticles and their control of the assembly.
He is currently an assistant professor at Nagoya University from 2018. Additionally, he was also a PRESTO researcher from 2019 to 2023, and he has also been a FOREST researcher since 2024. He established a novel method for synthesizing two-dimensional materials using solid surfactants as templates, which led to the creation of various new nanosheets.
From June to December 2024, he is also a visiting researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in the Mallouk lab. He is participating in a bipolar membrane project, aiming to develop new BPM catalysts utilizing two-dimensional materials.
Outside of the research lab, Eisuke enjoys drinking coffee.
