Philadelphia Ethics Bowl


The 2021 Philadelphia High School Ethics Bowl will take place completely online on Saturday January 23, 2021.

*Please note: The Philadelphia Ethics Bowl invites teams to participate from schools located within the Philadelphia School District boundaries. Other area schools should register for the Delaware Valley High School Ethics Bowl by contacting the director of the Delaware Valley Bowl, Dr. Mark Doorley at
Penn’s Project for Philosophy for the Young is able to provide a number of supports to schools interested in starting an ethics bowl team, or engaging in philosophy in some other way.

Congratulations to last year’s bowl champion: Masterman High School. The runner up was the team from Philadelphia High School for girls.  The winner of the judges choice award was the team from Carver Engineering and Science. And the teams from Academy at Palumbo and Mastery Charter: Shoemaker Campus tied for the Spirit of the Ethics Bowl award. Congratulations to all the teams!
