Media.sas
The media.sas.upenn.edu server is SAS Computing’s primary server for delivering audio and video.
https://media.sas.upenn.edu
Media.sas can host content that is available to the public at large, or you can choose to restrict access to your materials in its “protected” areas. In a protected folder, access can be granted to selected individuals or by course enrollment.
Content can either stream or download. To embed video in a web page (for example, a page in CampusPress or Canvas), you want content to stream. But VideoAnt needs downloadable content in a directory that is not protected.
- If you want content to stream (e.g., in Canvas), put it in the main area called “media_root”.
- If you want content to be downloadable (e.g., in VideoAnt), put it in “web_root”.
For purposes of using video in VideoAnt for your 2017 Teaching Portfolio, use:
Home / web_root / roml690 / 18a
