Amongst its values of being an inclusive, kind community, the Royal Theater tends to its great reputation of providing a space for the “Colored People of Philadelphia”
This article highlights a robbery that took place at the Royal Theater in 1931. A Miss Hilda Brooks, cashier, ended up scaring off the robber by pointing a ticket punch into the robbers face and screaming. (Go her!)
