Financial Training & System Access

Overview

Financial training provides administrative and finance professionals at the School with the tools to fulfill their applicable job responsibilities. The Financial Training Department at Penn offers many courses (both in person and online) designed to train staff in the financial systems utilized by the University, many of which may be required depending on your role and the assignments necessary to perform your tasks efficiently.  Below you will find informational tools on what requisites you may need and the forms necessary to gain access to the University’s financial systems.

Steps to follow

    1. Consult with your supervisor along with your regional business office on your task responsibilities to determine the level and type of access to be requested.  For example, if one of your roles is to be a buyer of goods and services on behalf of your department, there will be several trainings required for you to be able to have all the purchasing tools at your disposal.
    2. Utilize the financial course/requirements chart to determine the appropriate courses and any prerequisites (if applicable) based on decisions from the first step. Click here to see the chart => Financial Systems Access Requirement Chart
    3. Register for courses via Workday Learning and successfully complete all the requirements prior to requesting systems access.
    4. Submit your electronic access forms (aka Penn eforms) using the following link => Penn eforms
