Types of Meetings
WORKING MEETINGS
Working Meetings are meetings specifically for doing group-oriented tasks defined by decisions made prior, likely at a project status or brainstorming meeting. They are an opportunity to bring project stakeholders and/or credential holders together to achieve a particular task or set of tasks.
Guiding Principles:
- Be prepared
- Be respectful of participants time.
- Stay focused & document progress
Best Practices
- Preparation includes downloading software, ensuring server access, or making backups etc. ahead of time.
- Ensure necessary technology or information is on-hand
- Ensure team-members know how to document progress in the group’s documentation system and/or project management tool
- The meeting lead / project manager should be assigned task of following-up with team members on offline deadlines.
- Document all significant progress, decisions and questions raised during work session. No need to document every step performed.
