I grew up in Irvine, California, and went to UC San Diego where I majored in Chemical Physics. I took a gap year after undergrad and worked at Catalent – San Diego (f.k.a Pharmatek) as an Analytical Chemist testing the purity of early phase drugs. At Penn, I am now in the physical division in the Anna Lab, and am also an NIH SBMB trainee. Some of my favorite things to do, other than playing with lasers, are running, reading fantasy and sci fi, baking, exploring Philadelphia, and playing tennis with the Philadelphia Sports League and USTA. As part of Women in Chemistry, I am co-lead of the Women Specific Events with Taylor where we plan events to help foster support and community among our fellow female-identifying grad students, post docs, and faculty.
