Hello! My name is Alison and I’m studying inorganic chemistry under Professor Eric Schelter. My project focuses on a model system of an alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme that coordinates a lanthanide as an essential growth requirement. I grew up in Rhode Island and then moved to Boston to go to Boston University where I got my B.A. in chemistry. In 2018, I moved to Philadelphia to start my graduate studies in the fall of 2018. In my spare time, I love to explore the city, specifically looking for new restaurants to Yelp about. As part of WiC, I am on the Professional Advancement Committee (PAC) and assist the social lead to plan events throughout the year.
