Hello! My name is Rachel Lackner and I am a second year in the organic division. I am in the Chenoweth group, where I work on the synthesis of quinoline-based fluorescent small molecules for the imaging of biological systems. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, but did my undergrad at Yale University where I worked in Scott Miller’s lab making phosphothreonine-embedded peptide catalysts. Outside of lab I enjoy reading, looking at art, and eating dessert.
