Hey ladies, my name is Taylor Barrett and I’m a biological graduate student in the Petersson lab, where I work on making thioamide stabilized imaging agents. I’m originally from Middletown, PA, but went to the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY for undergrad. Outside of lab, I really enjoy exploring Fishtown and South Philly, my two favorite neighborhoods in the city. I also like going to concerts, hanging out with my cat (Binx), and just generally being ~*spoopy*~. I participate in WiC because I enjoy creating an environment where the women in this department can feel like they are supported and their voices are amplified. As the head of the women-specific events committee, I enjoy planning and attending our W(h)ine About It and Discussions with Female Faculty series. I also love Regress and Destress because who doesn’t love an event with dogs and beer?
