About the Conference

Conference Scope:

The conference will cover many aspects of the scientific use of xenon and in particular hyperpolarized Xe-129 and other noble gases in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging. Applications include materials science, biosensing, geoscience, homeland security and imaging as well as all aspects of gas hyperpolarization. 

Registration:

Early-bird registration deadline is January 31, 2018.  Other deadlines can be found here

Abstract Submission:

Abstract submission deadline for oral contributions will be March 1, 2018.  Abstracts for poster contributions will be accepted until April 15, 2018. 

Conference Program:

Oral contributions will be selected from the submitted abstracts by the scientific program committee. The program will be finalized in March, 2018.

Conference Venue:

The conference will take place in the Chemistry Building, 231 S. 34th Street, Philadelphia, PA.  The lectures will be given in the Lynch Room.  Poster sessions and coffee breaks will take place in Nobel Hall of the same building, near the lecture hall. 

Travel:

Philadelphia International Airport is located just south of center city Philadelphia, a short 15-20 minute cab/Uber ride to Penn’s campus.  A direct rail line from PHL to Penn is also available, SEPTA Airport Line (http://www.septa.org/schedules/rail/w/AIR_0.html).  30th Street Train Station is located just east of Penn’s campus and is easily accessible by cab/Uber.

Accommodation:
