I am Yi Wang, a fifth-year mathematics PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania. My advisor is Ted Chinburg. Starting in the fall of 2024, I will be a J.L. Doob Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Here is my CV.

My research interests involve low-dimensional topology and arithmetic geometry, with an emphasis on the interactions between the two. Currently, my research revolves around arithmetic knot invariants derived from SL_2(C) character varieties of 3-manifold groups.

I also work on determining homotopy types of moduli spaces of both Seifert fibrations and contact structures on various 3-manifolds, such as the three-sphere and S^2 x S^1.

My academic email is yiwang4 [at] sas [dot] upenn [dot] edu.
