I am an assistant professor at the Peking University School of Government. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. I study comparative politics with an area focus on China. My research interest lies in the political economy of policy reform and governance. My doctoral dissertation examines why politicians adopt inclusive market reforms that reduce their own rent-seeking opportunities. I am currently working on various projects related to government responsiveness.
