Author: MARK BOOKMAN

Mark Bookman received his B.A. from Villanova University (Global Interdisciplinary Studies) in 2014. Prior to joining the EALC department at the University of Pennsylvania in 2015, Mark researched Buddhist philosophy and Disability Studies as a Fulbright Fellow in affiliation with Toyo University in Tokyo, Japan. His current research is concerned with the cofiguration of sacred space and disability in Japanese Buddhism. As he works towards his dissertation, Mark hopes to explore how the transfiguration of disability in Japanese Buddhism may suggest a method for addressing contemporary social issues of disability.
