My name is Andres Mejia, I’m from Queens, NY and currently a fifth year graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania working with Mona Merling.

I will be an INI postdoctoral fellow at the Isaac Newton Institute beginning in January 2025. This fellowship is part of the Semester program Equivariant Homotopy Theory In Contex.

I’m interested broadly in applications of  homotopy theory to manifold topology. In particular, moduli of manifolds in dimension greater than 4.

My work thus far has been in equivariant stable homotopy theory, equivariant embedding calculus, and algebraic K-theory.

I am a Calabi scholar the University of Pennsylvania and further supported by the NSF GRFP fellowship and Fontaine fellowship,

My favorite introduction to homotopy theory is “Rational Homotopy Theory and Differential forms (Chapters 1-3) By John Morgan and Phillip Griffiths.
