Yunhan Gao grew up in Chengdu, China. She completed her undergraduate degree at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou, China where she received her B.S. in Applied Chemistry. During her undergraduate career, she worked in fields of biochemistry, and materials chemistry.

Currently, as a graduate student in the Mallouk group, Yunhan focuses her research on photoelectrochemical water oxidation at dye-sensitized electrodes

Outside of the research lab, Yunhan enjoys cooking and baking.
