Dimensions of MLEED
We have identified 16 event types that comprise the key components of MLEED we are tracking. We define an event as nuanced measures of human adaptation (individuals, governments, or social groups) efforts to mitigate the negative effects of climate change. An event is extracted from a news article and is coded using machine learning to one of the types listed here.
