Marc Miskin, a member of the center and Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering, has been named a 2021 Packard Fellow for his group’s work in microscale robotics. Packard Fellows are early career researchers who are recognized for both their contributions and potential for future research in their field. The Fellowship program is designed to emulate the thinking of David Packard – cofounder of Hewlett-Packard – who in large part turned to university research for discoveries and new technologies, and sought to fund them appropriately. Marc Miskin will $875,000 over the next five years, with a large degree of flexibility in what research the money is used for. Congratulations Marc!
