About

Welcome to the Computational Behavioral Science Lab. We use behavioral experiments, large-scale digital data, and computational modeling, to study how people think and decide. Although most of us are psychologists and cognitive scientists, we draw inspiration from a wide range of academic disciplines, including economics, marketing, neuroscience, statistics, linguistics, and computer science. Using interdisciplinary methods applied to diverse experimental and real-world data, we hope to build computational models that can deliberate over and respond to a large variety of everyday decision problems in a human-like manner.

The lab is directed by Sudeep Bhatia, an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. You can contact him at bhatiasu@sas.upenn.edu.
