Christopher J. Martin is a Senior I.T Support Specialist & Multimedia Manager at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he specializes in I.T. support and consultation, live webcast production, online learning and website building.
Since 2012, he has worked with Professor Al Filreis to create and offer Modern and Contemporary Poetry (ModPo), a free course on Coursera.org, to more than 100,000 students. Known for its high levels of student engagement and retention, the course offers a very popular series of 10+ live webcasts each Fall. Chris and the team use the free webcasting platforms, YouTube Live and Facebook Live, to create and stream these broadcasts. To date, ModPo’s YouTube videos have been viewed more than 100,000 times.
Chris has his Masters in Leadership and Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelors in Radio and TV Broadcast from Temple University.
