Scholar-practitioner Cary Mazer is Professor of Theatre Arts and English at the University of Pennsylvania; he has been active in the Theatre Arts Program, the University’s interdepartmental undergraduate major in Theatre, since he came to Penn in 1979, the year after it was created, co-chairing and then chairing the Program for the next 24 years. In 2001, he received the Dean’s Award for Mentorship of Undergraduate Research.  He will become an emeritus professor in July, 2022.
