Executive Summary: DevLab partnered with ASIES, a Guatemalan think tank, to conduct research on the determinants of internal and external migration, with a special focus on climate change. We implemented a household survey of 1500 respondents from municipalities within and right outside the “dry corridor” of Guatemala, an area prone to severe droughts. Through this project we also hope to gain a better understanding of the conditions faced by deported migrants once they return to their communities of origin.
