Robert A. Fox, C’52, and Penny Grossman Fox, ED’53
The Fox Professorships were established by the late Robert A. Fox, C’52, and his wife, Penny Grossman Fox, ED’53. Bob was the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of R.A.F. Industries, a private investment company he launched in 1979 to acquire and help grow numerous companies in a diverse range of fields. At Penn, he was an Emeritus Trustee and longtime member of the Board of Trustees, as well as a member of the Athletics Board of Advisors, and the Penn Medicine Board. He received the University’s highest alumni honor, the Alumni Award of Merit in 1999.
In addition to establishing the Robert A. Fox Leadership Program in 1999, they have generously supported a variety of areas across the University, including faculty, Penn Medicine, athletics, student life, and undergraduate scholarships. In 2015, they established Fox Leadership International, adding a global dimension to all of the Fox program’s initiatives.
