Samuel D. Schack, C’74, GR’80

Samuel D. Schack, C’74, GR’80 established this chair through his estate in 2010. Dr. Schack was a professor and former chair of the Department of Mathematics at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn in 1974 and his Ph.D. in mathematics in 1980. He made this gift in honor of Murray Gerstenhaber, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Penn.
