Community-Engaged STEM graduate certificate program
Penn offers a certificate in Community-Engaged STEM for graduate students in the Biomedical Graduate Studies program or any basic science graduate group in the School for Arts and Science, and medical students in Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine. The program is designed to complement a student’s disciplinary training in medicine, biomedical research, or basic science, by adding the community perspective and practical skills needed to engage with members of the public on vital issues.
The certificate involves coursework, research, and community engagement, with training for a broader spectrum of career paths.
