Climate Change Adaptation

Interview, Design, Implement

This project seeks to involve residents of San Cristóbal in the imaginative process of climate-adaptive urban design.

Currently, we are working to transcribe interview data collected by our community scientists in 2022-2023 that captures historical knowledge about changes in the local climate over time. We will work together with the same interviewers to code and analyze interview data after it’s transcribed, and later, to reflect on the significance of our findings. Together with our team, we hope these same community scientists will help to brainstorm ways to communicate these findings to their fellow residents and government officials, stimulating discussion and generating solutions aimed to improve and adapt public space against climate risks.
