Aidan Backus is a Ph.D. student at Brown University, advised by Dr. Georgios Daskalopoulos. Aidan is expected to graduate in May 2025.
The Fractal Uncertainty Principle asserts that a function and its Fourier transform do not both concentrate on fractals. In this talk, Aidan walks through some of the ideas of the proof of a case of the FUP. This is based on his joint work with James Leng and Zhongkai Tao.
