Benjamin Abbott (ANCH) defended his dissertation “Forging the Anchor: Antiochus I and the Creation of the Seleucid Empire” and graduated in the spring. Julia Simons (CLST) defended her dissertation “Tuberculosis in the Greco-Roman World” on May 8th; Reed Goodman (AAMW) defended his dissertation “Tides of Change: A Geoarchaeological Study of City and State Formation in Lower Mesopotamia” on June 12th. Their degrees were awarded this August.
