
Dr. Darren P. Ashby is a specialist in the archaeology and history of ancient Iraq. He received his PhD in 2017 from the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with a dissertation on the late third millennium BCE religious architecture at Tell al-Hiba. He is currently a Project Manager for Penn NELC’s Iraq Heritage Stabilization Program. Dr. Ashby served as LAP Assistant Director in 2019.
