Title: Iterated Integrals
Abstract: Iterated integrals were first studied by Picard (a long time ago) to prove the existence and uniqueness of first order ODEs. Since then, this concept has been influential in several different areas of pure and applied math. I will give a broad historical sketch of how these ideas are used in differential equations, geometry/topology, control theory, analysis, and ~machine learning~. No prior knowledge of these subjects will be assumed.
