Alejandra Wortman, MD, was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. After completing her medical degree at Universidad Anahuac, she moved to the United States to pursue her residency in General Psychiatry, followed by a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell University Medical Center. Subsequently, she worked at the Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center in Connecticut, focusing on Latino Mental Health services for underprivileged populations. Dr. Wortman has been in private practice in Greenwich, CT, for over 20 years and has provided numerous in-service talks to schools and other healthcare organizations on aspects of adolescent development.

Dr. Wortman is also a member of the Voluntary Faculty at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she supervises fellows and participates in clinical case conferences. In 2023, she moved to Philadelphia and continued her private practice. She now serves on the Voluntary Faculty at Jefferson University, supervising fellows in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry program.
