Fireside Chats: Thoughts and Reflections Two Decades After Penn
College is an exciting and tumultuous time. The time for many firsts – perhaps your first relationship, your first “academic failure,” your first internship / job, and so on. Join us with UPenn graduates, Gregory Kau (Penn Law ‘08) and Atthena Breitton (W’08), as they share their college regrets, highlights, what they would have done differently, how they navigated – or would have navigated – the challenges of college life, and finally, the learnings and wisdom they’ve picked up along the way now having lived two decades after Penn.
There will be a live Q&A section for students to ask their questions!

Gregory Kau
Greg is a regulatory attorney for Interactive Brokers, a global brokerage and a Fortune 500 company. He graduated from Yale in 2004, majoring in Chemical Engineering – a field he felt compelled to study being Asian American and as the son of a successful chemical engineer. He graduated from Yale without a job but found his way to UPenn Law School after receiving a perfect score on the LSATs, and graduated near the top of his class, having found a field that lent to his strengths of writing and analysis. He then secured a competitive clerkship with Judge Kethledge at the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and then became a senior associate at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York City and was faced with the decision to either continue on the lucrative partner track, or to go home to care for and be with his dying father (cancer). He has been with Interactive Brokers for ten years and is one of their lead regulatory attorneys.

Atthena Breitton
Atthena is a former investment banker, venture capital investor, and corporate development professional. She quit the corporate world in 2015 to start her wellness business and hasn’t looked back.
